Only a few meters from the path, but almost completely overgrown, is this strange little house in the middle of the thicket. We struggled through and found that it was solidly built from field stones. It has only one small room, an entrance and a window opening on the side. Maybe it was a border post or had something to do with the former ferry to Artlenburg.
