Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)
Lake Achensee is completely surrounded by foot. With the bike it is only on the side Achenkirch-Maurach-Pertisau and back. The route over the Gaisalm is not passable. If the road is too far, you can shorten it with the boat trip on the lake, this drives to various stops on the lake and saves some the way back. A great place to eat.

One of the most beautiful Alpenssen I know. A natural jewel of the first order. Despite strong tourism development, the lake is still drinking water quality, but it is also always quite cold and only in the months of July and August really suitable for swimming. A paradise for hikers, cyclists, sailors and windsurfers.

Very well developed bike path, but only on the eastern side to the north, on the western side there is a hiking trail that cannot be used by bike. Isn't recommended either.

The Achensee is north of Jenbach in Tirol, 380 m above the Inn Valley. Together with the Achental, it forms the border between the Karwendel mountains in the west and the Brandenberg Alps in the east.
The Achensee, which is up to 133 m deep, is the largest lake in Tyrol. It has excellent water quality (approximately drinking water level) with visibility of up to ten meters under water. Its water temperature is correspondingly low for a mountain lake and hardly ever exceeds 20 °C. Occasionally, the Achensee is referred to as the Tyrolean Sea due to its size and the optimal wind conditions for sailors and surfers.
In the south, the shore towns are the holiday resorts of Pertisau, Haus Seespitz (former hotel), Maurach and Buchau, which belong to the municipality of Eben am Achensee, and in the north the municipality of Achenkirch with the districts of Scholastika (hotel) and Achenseehof (beach).

The bike path is great for everyone to ride or hike. For children there are a few stations in between to test their skills.

The bike path is suitable for everyone. Unfortunately, the entire lake cannot be circled on the bike path.

Also nice for inline skating, going for a walk with children or the stroller
July 25, 2021
The optimal way if you are traveling with a stroller. It is nicely developed and you have the option of returning almost to its original location by ship.

The cycle path leads from Achenkirch towards Maurach. It is easy for anyone to drive or hike. For kids there are always opportunities to make the route entertaining with games, fun and skill. There are great pictures for the big ones 😊

A wonderful view over the Achensee. The hike with even more great views is highly recommended.
July 27, 2021
A wonderful cycle / pedestrian path from Achenkirch via Maurach to Pertisau. It pulls you completely along the shore of the lake and always gives you a great view of the Achensee and the mountains.
