A Romanesque parish church which dates back to eleventh century. The church has an uncommon north-south orientation. The system of churches scattered on the country formed the backbone of the human landscape in the Medieval and Renaissance periods, and people's lives and that of the comunity in general gravitate around it to a considerable extent. The most interesting architectural element of the building is a Romanesque-Pisan rhomboid window that has a very elaborate frame in stone and colored terracotta with a remarkable chromatic value.

The church is located on the via dei Castiglioni, beautiful for walking or on a gravel bike, appreciating the landscapes. (Https://museiempolesevaldelsa.it/la-via-di-castiglioni/)
