The city wall was dominated by 14 tall towers in 1640. Seven of them have survived and are partially inhabited. Together with the city wall, they used to protect against unwanted intruders. Today they are one of the sights in Röttingen.

Strolling through the beautiful little alleys within the city walls, you'll occasionally catch sight of a tower. The path from the St. John's Tower to the castle is particularly beautiful. Walking across the market square is another highlight. Röttingen offers many hidden treasures that are a feast for the eyes.
