Cycling
The most impressive castle in the Harz Mountains. The tombs of Margrave Albrecht the Bear and his wife Sophie are also located here. The palace park is one of the twelve most important of the 43 Garden Dreams complexes.
The former monastery castle trumps with the "Roman Room" created around 1788, the exhibition "The Early Ascanians" and the castle tower. In the north wing there is also the Film Museum Schloss Ballenstedt, which takes you through the history of cinema and film over the past 100 years.

Ballenstedt Castle is a baroque residential castle in Ballenstedt in Saxony-Anhalt. It was the residence of the Princes of Anhalt-Bernburg and the summer residence of the Dukes of Anhalt, built on a medieval castle and monastery complex of the Counts of Ballenstedt (Ascanians).
