Interactive exhibition in the former monitoring center of the former GDR on the Brockenkuppe in the Brockenhaus; History of the Brocken and the Hochharz National Park.
Ever since the wall was built, the summit has been a restricted military area. After the wall came down, 6,000 demonstrators forced the summit to be opened to the general public. Afterwards, the old town and Wernigerode Castle are ideal for a tour.
Distance to the cycle path: 12 kilometers or with the Brockenbahn.
Opening times daily from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
