Already the Celts settled here Celts 500 BC. After that there were many gentlemen of different cultures in Venzone. But even in modern times was not much quieter. In 1976, the place was almost completely destroyed by an earthquake. Nevertheless, there are still some sights to discover. Small fortified village with undeniable charm, in the heart of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. Voted the “most beautiful town in Italy” in 2017, it is built on the banks of the Tagliamento river, where it is pleasant to swim in summer.
On the village square, there is an absolutely fabulous ice cream parlor: Pasticceria d'altri tempi. Not to be missed.
