    A row of whitewashed houses lining the shores of Loch Broom - Ullapool has all the romantic charm of a fishing port but offers so much more. Because Ullapool is the last major settlement before heading into the solitude of the North Highlands, it is also the ferry port for the connection to Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides.
