The Bleialfer Tunnel is a 400 meter long, disused railway tunnel of the Westeifelbahn. It is illuminated, but closed from November to March. During this time it serves as winter quarters for bats. Cyclists then have to use the bypass route over the ridge. Caution, altitude difference!
