Already in 1715 the intention was "to build a small but closed chapel in honor of the Holy Trinity". In 1973 the village community replaced the chapel built in 1887 with a modern building. The village chapel, or "Neukapelle" of Höhengau is located directly at the parking lot and at the Mausberg circular walk. From here it is also possible to go directly through the forest via the chapel to the Mausberg pilgrimage church.
