The J3 circular hiking trail from the P-Zollstock in Jux leads right past it!
The reconstruction of the destroyed shelter was commissioned in 1927 by the then district forester Hermann Pfitzenmaier.
It offered protection to forest workers during storms, heavy rain and thunderstorms.
In the surrounding towns, the "old people" say that couples used to like to visit it as a secret and discreet meeting place.
The construction of the Knoblauchbrunnen in the Winterlautertal was also commissioned by forester Pfitzenmaier.

This historic shelter is located in the middle of the Swabian Forest. Unfortunately, there are no information boards, and the route is difficult because there are only business routes.

A bit hidden and not directly visible from the path.
