Overwerder Main Dike

Fast way, but you have to go to the dike to enjoy the complete overview of this nature. A short detour by the lake is worthwhile.

Who wants to be faster and not so bumpy, prefers the very passable bike path on the not busy road and occasionally looks over the dike.

The Overwerder main dike is an alternative route to the Elbe cycle path via the Marschbahn dam and leads directly along the dike. The section at Hohendeicher See is heavily used, on weekends also from motorcycles. Rannradsportler drive here on the road, as a touring cyclist can avoid the sidewalk / bike path, with caution, because at the lake half of the way to park for cars is released. Since one has the dike to the Elbe, the view of the water is possible only on individual sections.
