We waited a long time. Now the time had come. The famous brothel in Bohmte was finally able to welcome guests again. Sports friend Harm V. knew the owner from his student days and persuaded Borwin, Dörk and me to ride our bikes through beautiful Lower Saxony to the famous party town. Punctually (all attention, Dörk and Börwin!) We left the Fleetschlößchen at 7:00 a.m. Pleasant temperatures and a light NW wind. But a few dark clouds. It ran loose and flaky. Harm and Dörk are still too tired and polite to push. Surprisingly beautiful paths. The rain was also bearable as it wasn't cold and we knew that it would soon be dry. From Sittensen onwards, more and more sun. A lot of sun in the land on the Aller and the Weser. Magnificent views and more and more wind. Unfortunately, more and more from the west. In Verden, Harm and Dörk were persuaded to take a longer break in an ice cream parlor. During the break we were able to dry our clothes a little with the strawberry mug (which was totally underestimated at the moment). Dörk disappeared into the toilet on socks. (Did he want to be quiet?) Everyone! Otherwise Verden had nothing else to offer. Borwin mentioned something about a church, but it was about cycling after all. The march went through really nice little paths. The wind was getting really annoying now. And unfortunately Dörk and Harm's bite was bigger too. Luckily we had to carry our bikes over a bridge over the Weser. Small break. Unfortunately, I also got hay fever (I haven't had it in ages. Borwin mentioned my corona vaccination, I think.) About 100 km before the finish I was sitting on the floor in front of an AlDI (Rhinow said hello!). From now on it got really nasty. A nice little detour to the famous Liebenau lifted our mood enormously. Börwin still had fun here at the place-name signs with Harm. Dörk usually tried it (in vain!) I felt so bad that even the ultra-giant Harm took pity and pulled me out of my depths. The last 50 km became hell. Great views of real hills. But this wind .. Börwin only cursed now. (Never again cycling ... etc.) Dörk was now slowly facing one of his spontaneous amok actions. I then bribed him with a Mars from my frame pocket. Harm? No idea. Does he even notice exhaustion? Then finally boom on the last groove. Damn it, now it got really mean. It was just a lousy joke from Harm with the Puff opening !! He thinks this place is just romantic and really wanted to go here. Very quickly we hissed three wheat beer near the train station and each devoured a pizza. Then the somewhat dreary journey home by slow train. No beer on the go. For a while Dörk was able to tell us stories from his life as a celebrity in HH. Then Harm and Borwin fell asleep. I was just able to hold Dörk back from jumping off the train in Buchholz. The thirst ... He was now fantasizing about the sundae in Verden.
Shortly before Hamburg finally life again. Again the usual mutual insults on our bikes. And then go home to bed. I jumped in the shower beforehand. The guys don't care that much ...

Wout Woersemans and Cornelius van de Altesack ventured on a tour into the Elbe-Weser triangle. And all of their expectations were met. Borderline paths and roads, wind, rain, hail. But no cars and no people. In the few villages there seems to be a full-day curfew, so it's a sensational feeling to get back on the cozy ferry in Finkenwerder. Only surpassed by the feeling in the hot shower. It's nice when you can feel your hands and feet again.
Tomorrow everything will be forgotten, and it was a great tour that we can definitely recommend!
