Hiking Highlight (Segment)
The path is one of the most beautiful in the Harz. The water flows quietly (in some places even silently) next to you. The path is almost flat, which is a great opportunity to relax after the inclines. There are two stamps to get here (133 and 149) and interesting information about mining in the Harz Mountains. I've been here in winter, spring and summer and I'll be back in autumn.

The Dammgraben is part of the Upper Harz water shelf and was used to supply water to the Upper Harz mining industry. The path along the Graben is easy to walk, but is also popular with mountain bikers.

The path along the dike runs almost completely horizontally, because it naturally follows the water. After several climbing routes that was just relaxing, undemanding to walk. But in the long run the little adventures are missing.

The Grabenwege and especially the Dammgraben are uniquely beautiful hiking trails and something very special - there is hardly any such thing in other mountains.
