Dammgraben Water Channel (Harz Mountains)

The path is one of the most beautiful in the Harz Mountains. The water flows quietly (in some places even silently) next to you. The path is almost flat, which is a great opportunity to relax after the climbs. You can get two stamps here (133 and 149) and interesting information about mining in the Harz Mountains. I have been here in winter, spring and summer and I will come again in autumn.

The Dammgraben is part of the Upper Harz water shelf and was used to supply water to the Upper Harz mining industry. The path along the Graben is easy to walk, but is also popular with mountain bikers.

I just find it fascinating how well the trench has been preserved and that you can simply walk / flow with it
