St. Andreas is the oldest Zug monument, which can be visited.
The chapel and castle of St. Andreas designate the place of the old royal court Cham, the first documented place in the canton Zug (858). The early medieval church under the present chapel may go back to that time. It is the only preserved church building from the first millennium in a wide area, from which rising masonry is preserved and which is generally accessible. St. Andreas is the oldest monument in Zug that can be visited.
