In the middle of a wonderful rock arena, on the northern slope of the Lenzenberg, the 11m wide entrance to the Bärenloch opens. Here you have to crawl to get inside. Behind the entrance you can stand upright again and you are in a rock room, the rock hall, with a total length of 40 m, the width is up to 14 m. There is still a little sintered jewelry, but it has suffered a lot from contact with mankind and is often sooty black. Remains of cave bears and cave lions were found in this grotto. Like the beggar's kitchen, the beggar's kitchen and the Geiskirche, the bear hole was Babette Hauser's residence, the rock bear.
