The Bochumer Kulturrat e.V. is a socio-cultural center in the north of Bochum and has been based in the former magazine building of the Lorraine colliery in Bochum-Gerthe since 1988. The non-profit association, which has been in existence since 1987, is the sponsor of the concept magazine Kultur-Magazin Lorraine and organizes a spectrum of activities in its own rooms that spans the spectrum from traditional forms of literature, music, art, theater and film to experimental areas such as Performance and multimedia expressions.
