Very nice place with many hiking opportunities. The local mountain is the Elfer. The region offers numerous hiking trails.

Neustift is (after Sölden and Matrei in East Tyrol) the third largest municipality in Tyrol in terms of area and one of the most important tourist centers in Austria with over 1 million overnight stays per year. In addition to the snow-covered glacier mountains, a landmark that can be seen from afar is the parish church of St. George, Tyrol's second largest village church.
