Gollinger Wasserfall

If you "transform" the waterfall from the north (See the circular walk to the Gollinger waterfall), there is the possibility to get directly to the spring and from there to descend the path at the waterfall. This saves you the climb over the numerous wooden steps together with the tourist streams.

Stunning waterfall. Firm so footwear absolutely necessary, since in places look slippery.

The waterfall is highly recommended, especially on hot days. At the weekend, however, is very busy, so park even further down.

Here rises the Gollinger waterfall. In rain-free summers, the inflow at the cave can dry out.

The Waserfall can not be visited only through the main entrance. If you "walk" the waterfall from the north, there is an access directly to Quelle (see route circular walk to the Gollinger waterfall). This bypasses the flow of tourists and the less spectacular climb over the wooden stairs.

In the Golling district of Torren (“torren” Romanesque: roaring torrent), near the late Gothic pilgrimage church of St. Nikolaus, which is well worth seeing, the Golling waterfall plunges an impressive 75 meters down in two steps. The waterfall is a particularly popular destination and box seat and is probably one of the most attractive and romantic natural monuments in the country. A forest path leads directly to the waterfall. Steps lead up to the origin of the waterfall. Just recommended this waterfall. Sturdy footwear required.

The visit was in bad weather. The advantage is that the waterfall is much stronger because of the heavy rainfall.

Beautiful path over many steps up to the Schwarzbachfallhöhle, where the inflow of the Gollinger waterfall springs.
When crossing the waterfall in the upper part you can get a bit wet.
