    Tips

    April 19, 2019

Who does not shy away from the steep climb, will be rewarded on the sprawling high meadow of the Filsenberg nature reserve by several viewpoints and beautiful grassy lawns with a variety of flowers. In April, in addition to the "normal" meadow flowers, pansies and gentians also bloom here.
There are several ascent paths from Öschingen. However, cyclists without a mountain bike should prefer the path around the Filsenberg which ends directly at the Filsenberg parking lot (Kastentalweg). This is initially paved and from there, where he leads through the forest, only as a forest road (deadlocked gravel) running. For the approximately 2.5 km long uphill ride a good condition and climbing safety (up to about 15% slope) is required.
The plateaus of the nature reserve itself are best explored on foot, if only for reasons of nature conservation.
