Nice little park in Biebrich from the times when industrialists still took on social responsibility.

The more than three and a half hectare park, which is also called "Henkell Park" due to its location directly opposite the "Henkell" sparkling wine cellars, owes its existence to the initiative and the donation of an ex-major in the former Nassau army.In harmony with the villa district, a green space was created around the monument to Adolph von Nassau on the open space between Wiesbadener Allee – today Biebricher Allee – and Volkerstraße. The eponymous composer Richard Wagner, who worked in the then still independent city of Biebrich, once planned the construction of a festival theater for the city-owned site, the former sand pit.
