The family has been brewing in the Eller brewery in Birkach am Forst since 1822 or four generations and produces real classics. Due to a particularly long storage time, these get an intense taste, which makes them real connoisseur beers. The “Birkacher Rotes” red beer, one of the few remaining classic Franconian red beers, is particularly recommended. Because the red beer is the original Franconian beer style, characterized by wonderfully sweet malt aromas, some of which are even reminiscent of wild berries. In addition, a pilsner, a full beer and, in December, the Birkacher Bockbier are brewed.

On the occasion of this brewery-inn, I can't resist - from a purely literary point of view - and I have to briefly mention the humorist Heinz Erhardt (1909 - 1979), who I highly value, who is known to a wide audience for his wit and "Noch'n poem". was, with one of his – very rare – quote rhymes:
"The four-legged friend only drinks water,
people find beer finer.”
