Niester Riese Sculpture

Directly at the 🚏 Königsalm, this sculpture invites you to hike to the Niester Giants.

The sculpture of the Niester Giants is located here and is the ideal starting point for the Premiumweg P11 hiking trail.
There are several parking spaces directly opposite, as is the nice alpine restaurant "Königs-Alm"

The sculpture depicts a giant who is ready to throw a stone and is enchanted by the powerful forest spirit to become a tree. At the foot of the Sensenstein is the adventure destination "Niester Riesen".
The Niester giants are impressive conifers of exceptional dimensions. According to the story that surrounds the trees, they are giants transformed by a forest spirit that Otto the Quade sent to destroy Castle Sensenstein. The history of the giants is illustrated on an artfully designed board on site.
