The mill is located on the “Thronackers” parcel. The name derives from this because, due to the floor quality, this is one of the best properties in Großoldendorf. The areas were previously owned by the largest companies. The name could indicate the altitude or the particularly good soil quality

It was powered by wind until 1962, then by motor power until 1977. Its exterior has been restored. Today it is privately owned by the ter Veen family.
