One of the most beautiful places in this area. If you make the effort and go a little north from Morungen into the forest, you can climb a fantastic mountain path. Not much has survived from the new Morungsburg either, but still more than from the old one. Once you stand by the old linden tree and have a view of the Kyffhäuser in front of you, you won't want to leave - your own experience! ;-)
