The legend „A converted sinner“, a station on the regional legend trail Lanzenkirchen (Legend point SW 3), tells of a godless man from Frohsdorf who desecrated church festivals and reviled the faith. Only an eerie and compelling encounter with the devil made the transgressor reflect and finally led him back to the Christian path. Today, a carved, life-size wooden figure along the themed hiking trail in the municipality symbolically commemorates this transformation from sinner to believer.

With the “Sagenweg” project, Lanzenkirchen wants to present part of its mythological past.
The figures were made by the Styrian artist Wilfried Friess according to drafts
made by Thomas Heinold. The Lanzenkirchen Sagenweg was inaugurated in 2014.
A wicked fellow reviles God and desecrates the church and church festivals. Only the encounter with the devil brings him back on the Christian path.
