Climbed it 30 odd years ago........with young fit legs!! Recently descended it in heavy rain with bike packing gear - makes for a bottom clenching descent - exercise caution at the bottom, there's a tight left hand bend, beware!!

It may be the easiest climb to the summit of Bwlch y Groes - the highest gap in North Wales - but there is plenty of challenge. There is a steep section when the river Eunant is on your left, then over the cattle grid and you are surrounded by a barren landscape before joining the beast from Llanymawddwy and the final 17% climb to the summit.

Absolutely stunning climb. Yes it's long and steep, but goes in steps so you get chance to recover a bit.
