The Croce del Pratomagno is a monument that was inaugurated on September 2, 1928: it is a large modular iron cross that dominates the whole massif and is visible even from a great distance. In November 1966, due to bad weather, the upper part collapsed and was later relocated in 1969; on 27 July 2013, the inauguration of the new restoration and redevelopment of the site was carried out by the Construction Service of the Province of Arezzo.

The Croce del Pratomagno is the symbol of the Tuscan mountain of the same name, thanks to its extraordinary panoramic position at 1592 meters between Valdarno and Casentino.
