Åndalsnes is the starting point for many outdoor activities in the area. So you can start the famous Romsdalseggen tour or do via ferratas from here. South of the city is the well-known Trollstigen Street, which winds its way up the mountain in many bends and which you can see in many photos from Norway. The Hurtigruten also make a stop in Åndalsnes.

You can reach Åndalsnes either by car or by train. The Rauma Railway between Dombås and Åndalsnes is one of the most beautiful train journeys in Europe.

Andalsnes is a young town with about 3000 inhabitants. It is the administrative centre of the municipality of Rauma in More and Romsdal.
The town is located at the mouth of the Rauma River, which is known for its salmon.
The town is surrounded by mountains that are up to 1000 metres high

Hiking

Andalsnes was one of the most beautiful places on the cruise! But we were just lucky with the weather, it was a pure color explosion, so many great water reflections and the nature is beautiful. I would have loved to hike further :-)
