Spielburg

The "Spielburg" is a rock formation upstream of the mountain Hohenstaufen (684 m above sea level). Visitors can enjoy a wonderful view of the Swabian Alb from up here. To the south you look into the Filstal, while you can see the Remstal in the north. In a few minutes the local mountain of Göppingen, the Hohenstaufen, can be reached.

You have a great view! Nice place to take a break to continue then drive over the carrion back towards Rechberg super stretch!

Especially now at lockdown time there is a lot going on around Hohenstaufen, not only on the weekend, but the view is really worth seeing and if you are already there you should definitely go up to Hohenstaufen. Biking is (unfortunately) not allowed on the play castle!

Not really a trail. Rather a hiking trail, so be considerate of pedestrians (!).But for those who are really into it, but have a real downhill experience with an alpine character. Enduro to freeride bikes recommended.Enrom few tiny paths on the ridge, extremely steep stone drops and short high climbs. After a few really tough hurdles, you can relax on the ridge and enjoy the view.At the end you go right down a drop / slope or you just slide out through a narrow stone area.

You should definitely have been here. Please tolerate the paths and take no new shortcuts (nature reserve!)

Absolute highlight. But you have to make sure that you are there very early, then you can enjoy the peace and quiet and take great pictures.

What also confuses some, you Spielburg is not the ruin !!!, it is a little higher, you can also eat something there, and they have a socket where you can connect your e-bike charger.

The Spielburgscholle is located around five kilometers north-east of Göppingen, directly adjacent to the Hohenstaufen district of Göppingen. Greetings to the community 🖖
