Below Göppingen's landmark, the Hohenstaufen mountain, lies the Spielburg (play castle). Once the uppermost limestone layer of the peak, it now forms a magnificent vantage point with a rocky height of 15 meters. Today, the rock is nestled within a nature reserve and offers breathtaking views over valleys and meadows. In good weather, the view even extends as far as the state capital.

During the day, you can enjoy the idyllic and tranquil setting above the rooftops of Göppingen. In the evenings, you can experience romantic moments under the starry sky at the Spielburg.

Great view of Fils and Remstal from the 15 meter high rock. The Hohenstaufen can be climbed via a wider footpath or a nature trail. There is climbing fun on the rock here in the Spielburg nature reserve.
