The Nörvenich Air Base is a military air base near Nörvenich in the Düren district in North Rhine-Westphalia.
It was initially planned for use by the British Royal Air Force (RAF Nörvenich) as another so-called clutch station alongside the RAF Geilenkirchen, RAF Wildenrath, RAF Brüggen and RAF Laarbruch.
This was the name given to newly built RAF bases in the 1950s, which were located near the border with the Netherlands and thus as far as possible from the then inner German border.
