Den Steenen Molen, in the Belgian municipality of Boechout, is a grinding mill. The Den Steenen Molen heritage is located at Konijnenbergstraat 2, near Hovesesteenweg.
History:
Despite protest, the mill was built by Jan Frans Dielens in 1782 where he served as an oil and grain mill. The mill served as a private mill and the Palms family was dissatisfied with it, because their mill the Berderen Mill was owned by Sint-Baafskapittel. However, Jan Frans Dielens was a lawyer at the Sovereign Council of Brabant, which made protesting useless. The oil mill was broken out in 1896 and a gasoline engine was added in 1915. The mill was damaged during the First World War and during the Second World War the mill was hit by a V1 bomb after which the mill had to be restored. From 1943 the mill is registered as a heritage and in 1991 the mill was registered as a village view.nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Den_Steenen_Molen
