The Klützer landmark
At this place stood until 1901 an old Erdhollander mill, which was the victim of a fire. The favorable location was used again to build a large Galerieholländerwindmühle in a two-year construction period from 1902 to 1904. The baseline can still be seen in and around the present building.Until 1954 flour of all kinds and varieties was ground with the power of the wind. In order to continue to operate the mill in calm weather, until 1940 a steam boiler gave additional driving power. After replacement of the boiler, the additional operation was carried out by an electric motor. The necessary, but not carried out reconstruction of the wind wings, made it necessary to grind from 1954 exclusively with the electric power. In 1960, the mill was taken over by the LPG of the place. It was mainly used for the production of compound feed. In 1972, the doors were closed and it took almost a decade to bring life back to the historic landmark of the small town.
