Stop just to admire the enormous gate. It descends only a few to protect the surrounding area from flooding (it is part of the Deltawerken)

The Hollanfsche IJselkering looks nice. But getting there and leaving is a struggle. The area is dotted with dozens of traffic lights every few hundred meters. And half Krimpen has broken open at the moment which does not make it easy either.
