Perhaps it is the “Super Blick” from the Herford Bismarck Tower. There are 174 Bismarck towers worldwide, 31 of them in North Rhine-Westphalia, according to Google & Co. It felt like 18 of them I saw, probably only five or six. The Herford Bismarck Tower made of sandstone, built in 1906, is part of the monument cult that began after the death of the Chancellor in 1898. The citizens paid him because they collected money for it. Will there be a time when we will donate to the construction of Merkel towers?
