The Herz Jesu Church in Ettlingen was built at the beginning of the 20th century and opened in 1906 by Archbishop Dr. Consecrated to Thomas Nörber. It survived the two world wars with relatively little damage. However, during the Second World War, all of the church's bells were stolen ("confiscated for war purposes") and it was not until 1956 that it regained its full ringing of seven bells.
