1.40 km is the way long and unfortunately a dead end on the concrete slabs. A wheel with a good suspension or wide tires makes the concrete slab path reasonably bearable for the "butts" (I advise that drivers who are not sure on the bike to drive the way !!!)
You can reach the picturesque old thatched houses with a fantastic view of the water and the island Heuwiese (coastal bird breeding area).
The App Insel Rügen describes the place as follows:
"A romantic settlement with protected poplars and a fisherman's house in the style of a low German hall house from the 17th century, popularly also called Hasenburg." The building is one of the oldest in the area Rügen.

The "Haasenburg" with its age of about 400 years is the oldest, inhabited Low German stand house on the island of Rügen. The house is located in Freesenort, a hamlet on the island of Ummanz with stunning views over the dike to Stralsund. In the back of the house is a holiday apartment of about 45 m², which can be booked in the period from June to October.
