The Saumarkt is officially called 'Neumarkt'. It is still popularly known as the stall market.

The name can be traced back to previous market events, where pigs were also traded.

It was used as a fair until the 1950s.

Due to extensive construction work in the area and the use as a storage space, the stall market in the late 90s did its vernacular honor. In 2000/2001 the Neumarkt was renovated at the urging of the residents and with their support and donations from the entire population. The icing on the cake of the renovation was a fountain with a group of pigs, which justifiably justifies the popular name Saumarkt.
