Westerwald near Rabenscheid

Rabenscheid is a part of the municipality of Breitscheid with about 500 inhabitants. The town is in the Lahn-Dill district not far from the state border between Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia.

Rabenscheid is located at an altitude of 560 m above sea level and is crossed by the Westerwald hiking trail "Rothaarsteig". Outside the town center is the historic church, which goes back to a defiant defense tower. The tower was enlarged by adding the nave

Very nice view of Rabenscheid from a 4km long circular route around the "Hofgut encounters" from the voluntary association NEUSTART with its beautifully situated football golf course.
In addition to football golf, there is also coffee and cake every Sunday in the summer months in an appealingly relaxing atmosphere.
Not far Westerwald and Rothaarsteig intersect.
