The Dettumer mill is over 150 years old and one of the last mills in the district that is still in working condition. On the German mill day, which takes place every year at Pentecost, the mill can even be visited in operation.
The mill is a listed building. Access to and access to the mill has so far been clearly signposted, and it is not possible to reach the site via Bahnhofstrasse, as assumed, but via Beekedamm.
