The listed Esslingen Pliensau Bridge over Federal Highway 10 and the Neckar is, along with the Regensburg Bridge, the oldest stone arch bridge north of the Alps. It is considered a masterpiece
medieval engineering.
After the bridge was partially closed, it is now fully open again: the middle bridge area has been made barrier-free and designated as a shared cycle and pedestrian path.
