About Susanne Ortner

the rainbow picture belongs at the end!
I am not able to place it there🙁
Unfortunately, highlights are missing, e.g. "Untertürkheim Vineyards".

the pictures and commentary for the tour are at DECEMBER 16 !! Landed in 2000, found at the bottom. I can't enter any other highlights that are on the route, they are actually there automatically, but nothing works today.

we actually just wanted to go on an ice cream 🍧to Herrenberg, but because it was so nice, we went a little further.😄 Later, coffee and cake were addedMany new cycle path sections on the route, some in the making, but also construction sites and diversions.

From Schorndorf it goes past the
      Plüderhausen lakes to Waldhausen.
The first long climb begins here
after rat resin. On the plateau
it continues through Unter- and Oberkirneck, and after
a detour to the laundry lock in Wäschenbeuren.
Then you approach the Hohenstaufen. A second longer ascent leads to a panorama high altitude route, which you can see below the Rechberg and the
Stuifens to Tannweiler follows. A long descent down to Schwäbisch Gmünd, and a coffee break here in the pretty old town, is rewarded for the effort before the return trip through Lorch to Schorndorf in the Rems Valley.
mostly asphalt with a few gravel sections!nice stop at the Rats Cafe in the market square Wäschenbeuren.Between Wißgoldingen and Tannweiler, make a detour to the Schönberg with flower meadows and a great view!

From Bietigheim via Höpfigheim through the Bottwar and Schmidbach valleys towards Etzlenswend on the edge of the Löwenstein mountains. Over the vineyard through Farnersberg and departure to Unterheinriet and on to Stettenfels Castle. Break in the promising beer garden.
Return via Flein and Talheim to Lauffen, along the Neckar to Kirchheim (approx. 70 km). From here it is possible to return by train or continue by bike to Bietigheim.
