North of the Gisliflue lies the idyllic Schenkenbergertal, which extends from the Staffelegg to the Aare near Schinznach. The valley is home to an above-average number of castles and palaces, including the Schenkenberg ruins, Kasteln Castle and Wildenstein Castle, which, along with the Reformed parish church of Schinznach, are cultural assets of national importance.
