In the village there are 2 pilgrim stamps, pay attention to the information signs. Although the same stamp is only the diameters are different. 1st stamp opposite. (The lady is very friendly). 2nd stamp spot just before the town exit on the right side. (Also here you are happy when someone comes over.

This "Fatima Chapel" is dedicated to the Mother of God. It was named after the town of Fatima in Portugal, where Mary appeared several times to some shepherd children in 1917 (i.e. during the First World War). Our Lady revealed three mysteries to the children.
Pope John Paul II has attributed his survival of the assassination attempt on him that took place on May 13 – the commemoration of the first apparition of Mary in Fatima – to Our Lady there. The bullet that nearly killed him was later incorporated into the crown of the statue of Mary at Fatima.

The construction of the Fátima Chapel in Golzheim dates back to the First Marian Year, which Pope Pius XII declared for the period from September 8, 1953 to September 8, 1954. As part of a popular mission by Schoenstatt priests, the parish of Golzheim was encouraged to build a chapel to continue the traditional veneration of Mary in the town; a shooting fraternity has existed in Golzheim since 1882, which has placed itself under the patronage of the Mother of God.

The parish collected funds for a pilgrimage chapel. After the then pastor of Golzheim, Peter Hauser, visited the pilgrimage church Notre-Dame-du-Haut near Ronchamp in the Vosges in 1955, which was completed in the same year according to plans by Le Corbusier, the desire arose to design the Golzheim chapel according to this architectural model.
