This power plant was built from 1943 to 1945 with the help of Jewish and Soviet slave labor. It never went into operation. It was supposed to provide electricity for a chemical factory that was built in Fürstenberg. After the war, the technical installations were transported to the Soviet Union as reparations. The ruin with numerous bullet holes was supposed to be demolished with EU funds, which was probably prevented by conservationists.
A silent witness - from dark times.

Lost place in the wild. It is remarkable how nature brings the whole thing back.
