The cliffs are changed in appearance every year by the sometimes severe storms on the Baltic Sea coast. Sometimes even the unpaved hiking or cycling paths disappear due to the strong sea.

Small cliff section between Damp and Schönhagen with a maximum height of 18 meters. Coastal swallows breed here. It is an active cliff which provided by abrasion and southern ocean current material for the Nehrungshaken on Lake Schwansener.

Very nice cliff, but please be careful both below and above! At the highest point the cliff is 18m high; In some places there are waves and precipitation of about 60cm. Here also the smallest swallows of Europe, the shore swallow, breed in the summer
