Even the ascent to the Hustley over winding forest paths, along defiant rocks is a pure hiking experience. The Buchenloch Cave, the gigantic Papenkaule cauldron and enjoying the mineral water in the Gerolsteiner Brunnen visitor center complete the unforgettable hiking adventure. The well-known nature reserve of the "Gerolsteiner Dolomites" is located where around 380 million years ago there was a subtropical shallow sea with a mighty coral reef. The hike over the fossil reef reveals exciting scenic and geological features.
