The rest area and barbecue area on the so-called "Rothöhe" in Bad Königshofen is located on the road to Herbstadt. From here you have a fantastic view southwards to Bad Königshofen and the Haßberge mountains.

Unfortunately, the place is quite dirty, as cigarette butts are scattered on the slabs and the rubbish bin is full to the brim. If you look past that, it's a worthwhile vantage point.

On the cycle path between Bad Königshofen and Herbstadt, you go up to the left to the Rothöhenblick lookout point and can enjoy a wonderful, wide view over Bad Königshofen.
There is also a covered barbecue station nearby, which is also ideal for shelter.
When you go back down to the cycle path, you pass a very strange bench with a money box. This bench was donated by the savings bank employees of Bad Königshofen.
