Anyone who visits the Kronsbergheide should know that the Heath Queen of Amelinghausen has been officially elected here since 1950 and that it is therefore a historical place for the Amelinghausen community. Jenny Elvers is the best known of these heath queens from Amelinghausen.

In addition to the coronation in August, what is particularly interesting is the beautiful landscape that spreads out around the heathland. The Heidschnuckenstall, the winter quarters of the Heidschnucken from Amelinghausen, is also located here.

The two so-called premium hiking trails "Queen's Way" and "Legendary Hunen Way" lead through the Kronsbergheide. More information and relevant maps can be found at the Tourist Information Office

The rather small Kronsbergheide is located directly on the B 209, at the entrance to Amelinghausen, coming from Lüneburg. It is therefore located almost opposite the Lopausee and can therefore easily be combined with a walk around the lake.
